A Muslim of Hindu faith, Imran Yusuf, saved many lives at Orlando Gay Club shooting. Now the followers of both the religions are staking claims on him, forgetting that he's first and foremost a human being. His religious labeling (if at all, he follows any man-made religion) comes afterwards.
Any sane, humane and sensible person in place of Yusuf would have done what he (Imran Yusuf) did. Why does his religion come in the picture? Sahir Ludhianavi penned in 'Naya Raasta', 'Rang aur nasl, zaat aur mazhab jo bhi ho aadmi se kamtar hain' (Colour, creed, credo, nationality; whatever it's, shall remain subservient to a human being). Man is the measure of all things. Hail Imran as a great human being who saved his fellow human beings' lives. Don't cheapen him by highlighting his religion. We all need to evolve.
